I’m Perry Woolsey, and I’ve been captivated by the majesty and spirit of horses since I was just a boy. Born on June 2, 1966, I grew up with the reins in hand, starting to work with horses at the age of ten. By fifteen, I was immersed in the traditional craft of breaking horses—what we now refer to as foundational training—honing my skills through endless summer days alongside the rugged trails of mountain pack trips.
Though my career path initially veered into the oil fields at eighteen, my heart never strayed far from the stables. In 2014, I returned to my first passion, drawing inspiration and techniques from legendary horsemen such as Dr. Billy Linfoot, Ray Hunt, Tom Dorrance, Pat Parelli, Pat Puckett, and Ryan Rose. Their philosophies reshaped my approach, emphasizing a respectful and empathetic partnership between horse and handler.
Today, I am proud to share my lifelong passion and expertise through my new venture. I offer a range of services from horse breaking and training for domestic use to horsemanship skills training and western riding lessons—no horse required. Whether you’re looking to build a foundation with a new equine partner or refine your riding skills, I’m here to guide you on this rewarding journey.
With three horses of my own, each a cornerstone of my practical education, I am committed to applying my extensive hands-on experience to help others build trust and master the art of horsemanship.
